Tumbling

Jake and I have just set up our own Tumblelogs. We’re using Tumblr, which is a great and easy way to quickly post all sorts of stuff that takes our fancy. You can post text, pictures, quotes, video, links and chats — and they’re all formatted in their own way.

Tumblelog

Looks great – and there are different templates. Better still, every RSS feed from every place I put stuff on the internet ends up on my one:

My personal blog
New Music Strategies
my Twitter
my del.icio.us bookmarks
my Flickr photos
The Wireless
my Last.FM account
my YouTube videos
and my MOG stuff
…will all end up on Tumblr.

It’s your one-stop ‘What’s Dubber up to?’ shop.

    Jake’s tumblelog.

It was easy and fun. You should make one and tell me when you have so I can go look.

First of all compliments to the excellent ‘20 things’ you’ve written.

Although Thumblr is a neat way to quickly write things, I personally have choose to embed this sort of functionality on my Dutch WordPress driven blog via a kind of ‘besides’ or ‘remainder links’ (see Kottke.org) functionality. The cool thing for me: I can now write shorter messages and keep them all on the same blog.

My blog marcoraaphorst.nl gets a lot of attention and I’d like to keep the focus on this blog. The ‘remainder links’ are a great add-on for me.
